NOV 5-6 METROPOLITAN COOKING & ENTERTAINING SHOW

James Beard Foundation Cooking Stage, National Beef Cook-off, 400 specialty food exhibitors, Cookbook authors set for two-day food extravaganza  (Oct 1, 2011 – Washington, DC)

Food Network stars Paula Deen, Giada De Laurentiis and Guy Fieri will be joined by culinary legend Jacques Pepin at the November 5-6, 2011 Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. 

In addition, ten chefs and cookbook authors, all honored as James Beard Foundation winners, nominees or as guest chefs at The James Beard House, will take the Bloom Cooking Stage honoring the James Beard Foundation. Throughout the two day event there will be non-stop activities including a book signing pavilion featuring national and regional cookbook authors; ongoing demonstrations from knife skills to holiday entertaining; a beer, wine and spirits pavilion that will highlight local mixologists and the American National Cattle Women’s cooking stage presenting the winning recipes of the National Beef Cook-off plus the announcement of the 2011 winner of that competition. Known as a great shopping show, this year more than 400 specialty food exhibitors will showcase products – all for sale.
