Did somebody order a pizza?
If you have ever eaten a pizza from Z pizza, you know this is no ordinary pie.
My "hands-down" favorite takeout pizza place in the D.C. area has to be Z pizza (www.zpizza.com). Their website boasts that they start with 100% organic wheat flour, organic tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese from Wisconsin. Their toppings are great too. They have additive-free sausage (whatever that means) and MSG-free pepperoni (honestly, I didn't even know that pepperoni had MSG)
Now if all this California granola- healthy talk isn't enough to convince you to try it, the taste is just as fabulous. They offer non-traditional pizza such as Thai pizza, which has peanut sauce, mozzarella, spicy chicken, bean sprouts and Serrano chilies.
Don't like spice? Try the Tuscan mushroom. It has three different types of mushrooms all over a garlic cream sauce with caramelized onions, truffle oil, and fresh thyme on top. Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is. If the choices are too much to handle, have them split the pizza like I did. With so many creative variations like Moroccan, Provence, Casablanca and Berkeley, it is hard to pick just one.
The price is a little more than your average chain and the 18" will set you back about $18 but keep in my mind it is worth the money. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that on Tuesdays, you can get a second 14 inch pizza for $5. They also have an passport promotion going on now where if you purchase three large Pizzas, you get the fourth extra large for free.
Pizz out!

I am big fan of Poppa John's myself as their sauce and ingredients really do taste great. But I like the idea of a Thai pizza too. Mmmmm yummy.
This web site makes me hungry. I should never read it it unless I've just eaten.
I am waiting for an expose on Wegman's along with the appropriate probative questions: Do people really go there to shop for groceries? Or is it really just a place for worship?
